RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

·       Launder clothing and linens:  washing, drying, folding, and keeping the family’s clothes, towels, and bedding clean and ready to use.

·       Light housekeeping:  basic cleaning like tidying rooms, wiping surfaces, sweeping, and keeping common areas neat.

·       Provide companionship:  spending time with the family member, talking, keeping them engaged, and offering friendly company.

·       Provide personal care:  helping with daily needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and ensuring comfort and hygiene.

·       Shop for supplies:  buying groceries and household items needed for meals, cleaning, and daily routines.

·       Prepare nutritious meals:  making healthy meals and snacks that follow the family’s preferences and dietary needs.

·       Cook:  handling light cooking tasks, from basic food prep to fully cooking meals for the household.

CREDENTIALS

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

·       CPR Certificate:  Required to ensure the worker can respond effectively in emergency situations involving cardiac or breathing distress, providing immediate life‑saving intervention if needed.

·       First Aid Certificate:  Required to ensure the worker can manage minor injuries, sudden illnesses, and urgent health situations until professional medical help is available.
