Job title: Framer-Carpenter

Location: Surrey, BC

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Fulltime

Salary: $30.00-$35.00/hour for 30-40 hours/week

Moonlite Framing & Contracting Inc. is a commercial and residential contractor based in Surrey, BC that provides construction management, design, build, and general contracting services. We are looking for Framers to have on our team. As Framer, the candidate must perform the following job duties.

Job Duties:

• Select, Measure, cut, and assemble the framing lumber needed to build residential, commercial, or industrial buildings

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings for carpentry projects

• Cut and shape materials and join them into nails, screws, bolts, or glue

• Repair existing structures and flooring

• Perform finishing construction work, such as hanging drywall and paneling over the completed framework

• Adhere to all safety protocols while on the job, including wearing proper safety clothing and gear

• Erect the basic structure of a building or other construction project

• Keep the job site clean and organized at all times by putting away their own tools and materials after use, sweeping up, and performing other cleaning tasks

Requirements:

•   Education: Completion of secondary school is required

•   Experience: 2-3 years of experience in the trade 

•   Certificate/Training: Trade certification will be an asset, but not mandatory

•   Language: Basic English is a requirement

Other Skills: 

• Willing and able to perform physically demanding work, including the ability to lift up to 50lbs.

• Able to make accurate measurements and do basic mathematical and geometric tabulations

• Willing to work outdoors, indoors, and in all weather conditions
